Judaism, Christianity, Islam – the struggle of the monotheistic religions?
All those – whether believers, Jews, Christians or Sabians – if only they believe in God and the Last Day and do what is right, shall one day have their reward from their Lord, and neither fear nor sorrow shall come upon them. [2:62]
We caused Jesus, the son of Mary, to follow in the footsteps of the prophets, confirming the Torah that was in their hands, and We gave him the Gospel, which contains guidance and light and confirmation of the Torah that was in their hands before, as guidance and a reminder for those who fear God. [5:46]
Let the possessors of the Gospel now judge by the revelations of Allah therein; but whoever does not judge by the revelations of Allah is among the transgressors. [5:47]
We have now revealed to you the Book (the Quran) in truth, confirming the earlier scriptures in their hands, and have appointed you as guardian over them. Judge, then, by what Allah reveals, and by no means follow their desire that you depart from the truth that has come to you. To every people We gave a norm (religion) and an open way. Had Allah only willed it, He would have given you all one single faith; but He wishes to test you in what has been given to you. Vie, therefore, in good works, for you will all return home to Allah, and then He will enlighten you about that in which you disagreed. [5:48]
Dispute with the People of the Book (Jews and Christians) only in the most decent manner – only the transgressors among them excepted – and say: "We believe in what has been revealed to us and in what has been revealed to you. Allah, our God and your God, is one, and we are wholly devoted to Him." [29:46]
Therefore call them to the true faith and be steadfast in it, as you have been commanded; do not follow their desires, but say: "I believe in the scriptures which Allah has revealed, and I have been commanded to establish justice among you. Allah is our Lord and your Lord; we have our works, and you must answer for yours. Let there be no dispute between us and you, for Allah will one day unite us all, and to Him we return." [42:15]
But whoever kills a believer intentionally, his reward is hell, and he shall remain in it forever. The wrath of Allah shall rest upon him; He will curse him and prepare a great punishment for him.
[4:93]
What is hell? A place where a vengeful God burns sinful people alive for all eternity, where they are the victims of an unbridled sadist? Love me, or I will torment you forever? In my opinion, hell is a place of "painful" self-knowledge and purification. God's fundamental intentions, which man should make his own, are love and mercy.

Jews believe in Yahweh. Muslims believe in Allah. Christians believe in the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Polytheism? No, not a belief in many gods. Christians believe in their one God. There is only one God: Yahweh. Jesus is God's Son. The Holy Spirit is the Holy Spirit. (According to the Quran, the Holy Spirit is the archangel Gabriel)
I am a Catholic Christian. I believe in the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Had Allah willed, He would have made us all one religion. But He wanted to test us in everything He has given us. He gave us the Gospel, in which we are to believe. God's ways are unfathomable. Ergo, I believe in the Gospel, and on the Day of Judgement God will reveal to us that about which we (the believers) disagree.
So be it. Cogito ergo sum.
Trinity – one God in 3 persons?
Does Jesus not cry out shortly before he dies: "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?"?
Does Jesus not say in the Gospel: "The Father has sent me."?
Does Jesus not say in the Gospel: "The Father is greater than I."?
Does God not speak from heaven at the baptism of Jesus: "You are my beloved Son, in you I am well pleased."?
Was the doctrine of the Trinity not drawn up at councils of bishops, and every other interpretation of the Gospels branded as heresy? (Council of Nicaea, AD 325)
Where does it say anything about the Trinity in the Gospels?
Questions upon questions, aren't they?
